Anitta Is the Queen of Outfit Changes With Her Grammy Weekend Party and Red Carpet Looks
Anitta knows that making a splashy pre-event appearance is just as important as attending the ceremony itself, at least when it comes to fashion. The Brazilian singer showed up to the Pre-Grammy Gala and Grammy Salute to Industry Icons as well as the red carpet in equally stunning outfits.
She wore a Peter Dundas custom-designed black mesh gown featuring a halter neck and middle slit to the pre-party event on Feb. 4. The dress was just transparent enough to show off the 29-year-old’s toned body and was embellished with black sequins and lines. Stylist Ronnie Hartleben accentuated the look with a black feathered off-the-shoulder coat and bedazzling Tiffany & Co. flower stud earrings.
For her ceremony and red carpet outfit, Anitta slipped into a textured strapless gown featuring a long train and a sweetheart neckline. The vintage 2003 Versace dress from LILY et Cie included feathers, leather, ribbon and mesh meant to “demonstrate the unparalleled skills, workmanship, innovation and originality of their atelier.”
Anitta wore Tiffany & Co. around her neck and let her dark locks down for an elegant and sleek style.
The “Envolver” singer was nominated for Best New Artist at the Feb. 5 event, which took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
“It’s crazy. It’s been 50 years since an artist [from] Brazil was here nominated,” Anitta said on Live from the Red Carpet. “For me, for the whole country it’s like we’re making history right now.”
Though jazz singer Samara Joy won the Best New Artist category, Anitta said she was honored to have been nominated and winning didn’t necessarily mean taking home the award.
“Today I feel like a winner ’cause for me, winning or not, it’s already the biggest victory to be here part of this major thing,” the WSJ. magazine’s 2022 Music Innovator added. “I’m feeling like a winner no matter what. I’m feeling amazing.”
