Benny Blanco Leaves Cheeky Comment After Selena Gomez Confirms Six-Month Relationship

The singer and record producer, who have collaborated multiple times, are the latest celebrity item.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are officially an item, as the singer just confirmed all the romance rumors with a super sweet internet message. The two-time Grammy Award nominee and the record producer, who worked on her new “Single Soon” track together, were recently spotted cozying up in a photo shared by a fan Instagram account on Dec 7.

“He is my absolute everything in my heart,” Gomez commented on the post. The user pinned her response, which quickly sent fans spiraling. The actress also gushed in another reply to one user that Blanco is “the best thing that’s ever happened” to her.

Blanco, 35, attended Gomez’s 31st birthday party back in July, but fans didn’t read much into it at the time, as the two artists have also collaborated in the past (on Gomez’s “I Can’t Get Enough” music video in 2019). In the fifth pic of her celebratory Instagram photo dump, she wrapped her arm across his torso as he leaned his head in toward her and held a wine glass.

Blanco, who was born Benjamin Joseph Levin, further confirmed the rumors by leaving a cheeky but simple heart-eye emoji on the Disney Channel alumna’s latest Instagram photo dump on Dec. 10. His comment garnered more than 7,000 likes in one day.

Not all fans have been supportive of the launch, however. Instagram account @popfactions was one of the first to break the news and certain followers and Gomez got into a tussle in the comment section.

“If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your boyfriend lol - it should be special between you two only,” someone wrote. “Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you.”

“It’s been 6 months bb. I will always defend my friends family and fans till the day I die,” the Only Murders in the Building star clapped back.

According to People, the exchange has since been deleted. Entertainment Tonight spoke to a source close to the singer and explained that the relationship has been going on for a “while” and became more “official” as of late. 

“Things have been going really well between them and Selena is happy. She thinks Benny is very funny and of course, extremely talented,” they added. “Selena is in a great place in her life and feels content and relaxed. She is enjoying where things are going.”
