Breanna Stewart isn’t a stranger to the big stage. She already has two Olympic appearances under her belt, and she’s gearing up for a third. The athlete has her eyes set on the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

The road to the games starts on Thursday. According to USA Basketball, though the team already clinched a spot in the Paris bracket, they have opted to play in the FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament, which is set to begin on Feb. 8, in Belgium. Stewart is among the 12 names on the roster for the four-day tournament.

She secured her spot during a training camp at the beginning of this month in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. In honor of the impending trip to Belgium and the coming Olympic games, Stewart shared a video from the training camp to her Instagram earlier this week. Decked out in her Team USA gear, the athlete stood at the free-throw line and practiced her foul shots.

“Next stop 📍Belgium,” the New York Liberty forward said. “Road to Paris has officially begun!!”

Team USA is set to take on Belgium at 2:45 p.m. ET on Feb. 8. With a spot in the Olympics already secured, the chair of the USA Basketball Women’s National Team committee, Jennifer Rizzotti, is viewing the tournament in Belgium as a chance to get a feel for the coming competition, according to USA Basketball

“I think what’s valuable about this Olympic Qualifying Tournament is that we get to play against Olympic-level teams,” she said. “We have six months to see how players will react, respond to that environment, that level of pressure, and see if they have the ability to take on a different role with the team.”
