Fans React as Cardi B Goes Instagram Official With New NFL Star Boyfriend

The ‘Enough’ rapper hard launches her new relationship.

Cardi B is proving to her estranged husband Offset that their relationship is a thing of the past as she debuts her new boyfriend on Instagram. After speculation that the rapper, 32, was dating New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, 31, the musician confirmed all the buzz in May while they attended a New York Knicks game together.

Taking to Instagram, the “Like What” rapper is now welcoming a new chapter of life while posing on a boat. But not only did she flex a glamorous weekend as we inch closer to the official start of summer, but she also has the internet talking with the second photo in her carousel.

Cuddling up to the NFL star, the pair looked lovingly into each other’s eyes as Cardi B softly held Diggs’s face. Draping her leg over his, it’s evident they’re been hot and heavy—further confirming the rumors and potentially throwing shade at Offset in just one photo.

Cardi B didn’t even have to tag Diggs for social media to notice, and her comments section is blowing up with reactions to the hard launch. “Chapter 5 ……Hello Chapter six,” she captioned the photo dump shared with her 163 million followers.

“Offset is OFF, Now it’s stefON!” one comment reads, taking a dig at Offset.

“I speak on behalf of everyone when I say we love to see our girl being loved correctly and out loud!!! 😍,” comedian Jessica Vestal wrote.

After being seen together in February and then making their first public appearance together at Madison Square Garden on May 12, photos and videos were shared of Cardi B and Diggs enjoying their boat day for Memorial Day Weekend, where these latest pics were taken. It seems the general consensus from fans is that they’re very happy for the New York native, especially considering all of the drama she’s going through as she looks to finalize her divorce from Offset.

Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset in July 2024, and since then, there have been many ups and downs. On May 30, the rapper took to social media to react to Offset’s alleged request for spousal support, a claim TMZ first reported and then was re-shared on The Breakfast Club. “Word to my mother. I want you to die, but I want you to die f---ing slow,” Cardi B said in an emotional message on X Spaces.

While Offset was apparently supportive of Cardi B’s new relationship with Diggs, commenting, “I'm happy for her !!” under a social media post this spring, he’s since seemingly changed his tune. In a series of since-deleted tweets, captured by Capital Xtra, the rapper, 33, shared a GIF of a basketball player with the words “Today I pass” written over it, along with an additional tweet where he wrote, “Good roll out n PR.”

Though Cardi B is seemingly ready to move past her relationship with Offset, fans can’t help but assume the hard launch of her relationship with Diggs is a direct insult to her ex.

Cardi B and Offset were first linked in 2017, got married later that year and now share three kids together.
