The TikTok star shocked her 47.8 million Instagram fans, who had mixed feelings about the new hairdo.

Charli D’Amelio surprised all her fans, followers and friends when she made a drastic change to her signature dark brown locks in the middle of the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The TikTok star debuted a short blond bob on April 16 and sent her 47.8 million Instagram followers into a spiral.

D’Amelio wore a cropped off-the-shoulder black sheer top with butterfly detailing and puffy sleeves. Stylist Marta Del Rio paired it with a matching frilly bohemian maxi skirt, orange-tinted sunglasses, chunky boots, several mixed-metals necklaces and a statement belt. Makeup artist Olivia Madorma opted for a fresh and dewy face of makeup including glossy pink lips and smudged-out burgundy eyeliner.

“coachella 1 charli 0,” the 18-year-old, who is dating Travis Barker’s son, 19-year-old Landon, captioned the post. She posed in front of the swing carousel and was photographed by Tylor Klipfel.

Several fans ran to the comments to pray that she was wearing a wig.

“CHAR WTF HAPPENED,” GiaNina Paolantonio wrote.

“Ouch!” added Nina Dobrev.

“Is she cosplaying as Kourtney?” someone asked.

Hair stylist Dimitris Giannetos shared an up-close shot of the new ’do.

“CHARLI ♥️Blonde and Wet For ms @charlidamelio at Coachella,” he captioned his IG post.
