SI Swimsuit model Christie Brinkley shared a throwback photo on Instagram that has the internet buzzing. The image, from a 1984 Harper’s Bazaar cover story, “A Fabulous Body at Any Age,” depicted a 30-year-old Brinkley in a red and yellow bikini top and blue bikini bottoms.

In her caption, Brinkley reflected on feeling nervous at the photo shoot in St. Barths “because I remember thinking my body probably wasn’t ‘fabulous’ enough for such billing!” She went on to say, “Now at 68, I understand that a fabulous body has nothing to do with the size of my hips or thighs, it’s the fact that my hips carried three babies, and are still hiking, biking, swimming and swiveling… and what’s more fabulous than that?!”

Fellow SI Swimsuit model Daniela Pestova commented on the post:

“🙌🙌🙌 you were fabulous then, you are fabulous now. And not just because of your looks but also because of your positive attitude and the example you set for the rest of us ❤️”

Earlier this fall, Brinkley shared an Instagram post offering up tips for leading a healthy lifestyle, including sleeping well, eating a rainbow organic diet, staying hydrated and caring for your skin. “I have a very little structure in my job and life… but these are the things that I do everyday to power me and fuel me through my busy days,” she said in the post, which included the hashtag #68andfeelinggrateful

Brinkley, who was first featured in SI Swimsuit in 1975, famously graced the magazine’s cover three years in a row in 1979, 1980 and 1981.
