Christie Brinkley Reflects on ‘Spectacular Year’ Ahead of 70th Birthday

Supermodel Christie Brinkley will celebrate her milestone 70th birthday next month, and she sat down with People ahead of the special day to chat about embracing her age. The legendary SI Swimsuit star also shared a photo of the magazine’s print edition of the story on Instagram on Jan. 25, along with a note of gratitude. 

“I still have a few days left of my Sexy Sixties before I dance into my Sensational Seventies on February 2nd, but I already know it’s going to be a spectacular year!” Brinkley wrote. “I know because that’s my plan and I’m old enough to know that it’s up to me to make sure of it! I always used to say to my kids go out and make it a great day and now I’m saying to myself that I’m gonna make it a great year !”

Plenty of the mom of three’s 894,000 followers chimed in to the comments section to remark upon Brinkley’s uplifting attitude, while others simply wished her a happy early birthday.

“You’re my inspiration! I’m a decade behind you and watching you reach these amazing milestones with such energy, beauty and grace makes me know I can do the same!” one fan shared. “Thank you and happy birthday!”
