If your friend isn’t willing to send your ex an unpleasant surprise, are they even really your friend?

Dakota Johnson just took the concept of “ride or die” friendship to a whole new level.

The actress has been on a wildly entertaining press run this month while promoting her upcoming film The Materialists, where she stars as a successful big city matchmaker torn between an old love (Chris Evans) and a new potential love (Pedro Pascal). Over the last month, Johnson has appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to make some hilarious prank phone calls and Late Night With Seth Meyers to share stories of her many tumbles (which, as a fellow clumsy adult, it’s relatable content).

This week, Johnson stopped by Vanity Fair to take their iconic lie detector test for the second time in her career, and let’s just say some pretty surprising—and smelly—information came to the forefront to the shock and delight of her fans.

In the YouTube interview, Johnson’s charm and charisma were on full display as she answered questions about everything from her past roles to her lack of social media presence to her love of baths. However, as the interview continued, a very specific story came to the surface.

When asked if she believes she’s a “ride or die” friend, the actress answered “yes” without hesitation, swearing that she’d not only cover for a friend if they lied, but adding that she’d even lie to law enforcement for them. That’s when things took a turn, and the interviewer questioned Johnson about a rumor claiming that she and I quote “once sent a man who broke her friend’s heart a gallon of gorilla s**t.”

“I mean, there’s no way that he would watch this [video], so yes, I did do that,” the star confirmed with a cheeky smile. “And it’s been some years [since then].”

The interviewer then asked how one might order such a revolting revenge item, to which Johnson responded with the website’s name, noting with a guiltless shrug, “You can order any kind. Any size.”

As I’m sure you can imagine, the comment section of the YouTube interview was filled to the brim with fans of the actress, who were all equal parts shocked and delighted by her unapologetic demeanor during the admission:

“How is she so soft yet sassy and fearless at the same time, love her personality!!” One fan wrote.

“Calm and unhinged at the same time, Dakota you’ll always be famous 😭😭,” another commenter added.

As noted above, The Materialists is set to hit theaters June 13—so be sure to grab the friends you’d be willing to send animal dung to an ex for and head to your local cinema to check out what’s sure to be a fabulous film!
