Halle Bailey just welcomed her baby boy, Halo, with rapper and singer-songwriter DDG. The new parents have the most valid reason for keeping the pregnancy private until after their son was born.

“It’s a blessing. I love him so much and I don’t even know him. It’s just a different type of feeling. This is one of my biggest accomplishments and I wasn’t able to show it for real for real but it was for a better cause ’cause people weird,” the YouTuber candidly said. “People are way too much in my business, our business, at this point in time. So, definitely for the better and it made it a lot easier, bringing him into the world without a bunch of opinions. My priority right now is to make sure his childhood is the best childhood in the world.”

Bailey announced the news of the baby’s birth on Sunday, with the sweetest pic of her son’s tiny hand on top of her and her boyfriend’s palms on Instagram.

“even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️,” The Little Mermaid actress wrote.

Fans have been speculating that the 23-year-old was pregnant for months, though the couple never addressed the rumors.

The couple was first spotted together at an Usher concert in January 2022, and made their red carpet debut as a couple that June. Since Bailey revealed the news of being a mom, the “Moonwalking in Calabasas” rapper has shared some adorable behind the scenes snippets of her pregnancy journey.

“my biggest blessing by far 👶🏽❤️ son son.. never been so in love 🥹 baby halo,” the 26-year-old captioned his own Instagram announcement.
