DiDi Richards knows that when someone confuses you with another famous person, you allow them to fangirl and don’t correct them. The WNBA player recently has been mistaken a few times for NCAA basketball player Angel Reese—who is on top of the world following LSU’s women’s basketball championship win on April 2.

The women shared a sweet and hilarious exchange regarding the frequent confusion on Twitter a few days later.

“Y’all at least 5 people have come up to me & said ‘Congratulations.’ I’ve just been walking not paying attention,” the New York Liberty guard wrote. “Finally I’m in Starbucks line & someone says, ‘Congratulations, & good game.’ Me: ‘huh?’ [Them] ‘Go tigers.’ Me: ‘ah, thank you.’ I’d hate to tell them I’m not Angel.”

“they swear we are twins 😭,” Reese wrote in response.

Reese’s performance during the game against Iowa wasn’t the only moment that catapulted her to trending status on social media and grew her Instagram following to 1.5 million.

She stood up for herself after being labeled as “classless” for mocking Caitlin Clark during the championship game with John Cena’s “you can’t see me” gesture and pointing at her ring finger. The tournament’s Most Outstanding Player award winner shed light on the double standard Black female athletes face as opposed to their white and male counterparts.

“All year, I was critiqued about who I was. I don’t fit the narrative,” the 20-year-old said in a press conference following the championship game. “I don’t fit the box that y’all want me to be in. I’m too hood. I’m too ghetto. Y’all told me that all year. But when other people do it, y’all don’t say nothing. So, this is for the girls that look like me that want to speak up for what they believe in. This was bigger than me tonight. Twitter is gonna go on a rage every time. I’m happy.”
