New York Fashion Week may be over, but the milestones are forever. At least, such is the case for American model Emily DiDonato, who returned to the runway after five years away this past week in New York City.

The 32-year-old model, who had her daughter in November of 2021 and her son last April, has spent a few years away from the runway while raising her family. Her two pregnancies did not keep her from her modeling career entirely, but they definitely changed its pace.

But with the Brandon Maxwell fashion show on Feb. 14, she took a step back toward her career’s roots. DiDonato returned to the runway in a stunning outfit from the luxury designer, which included a silver silk midi dress, a brown leather jacket and a pair of brown snakeskin boots. An oversized brown leather shoulder bag was added to the ensemble, which really pulled the look together. DiDonato sported a natural face of makeup and wore her brown locks loose.

“It was so good to be back on the runway after 5 years and 2 kids,” she wrote in an Instagram post from the occasion. “Saw so many old friends and it all made my heart so happy. ❤️ Thank you for having me in your beautiful show @brandonmaxwell.”

It was certainly an afternoon for the books for the New York native, and we hope to see her on the runway again before long.
