Emily Ratajkowski is getting honest about being single in her 30s—and it turns out it’s kind of the best thing ever. The supermodel, who shares her son, Sylvester, with ex-husband Sebastian Bear-McClard, divorced the film producer last September and has since found peace and several new casual relationships.

She’s scrapping the negative narrative and stigma around being a divorcee and empowering women to take control of their lives—whatever that may mean.

“So it seems that a lot of ladies are getting divorced before they turned 30. And as someone who got married at 26, has been separated for a little over a year—[I’m] 32—I have to tell you, I don’t think there’s anything better,” she said in a recent chatty TikTok shared Wednesday with her 2.6 million followers.

The My Body author and her ex got married in February 2018 and welcomed their son in March 2021.

“If being in your 20s is the trenches, there is nothing better than being in your 30s still being hot, maybe having a little bit of your own money, figuring out what you want to do with your life, everything, and having tried that married fantasy and realizing that it’s maybe not all it’s cracked up to be,” she continued, alluding to a recently trending TikTok audio from an interview with English actress Suki Waterhouse. “And then you’ve got your whole life or what have you. So for all of those people who are stressed or feeling stressed about that, about being divorced, like it’s good. Congratulations!”

“personally i find it chic to be divorced by the age of 30,” the High Low With EmRata podcast host captioned the clip.

“dont settle ladies!! It’s not the end of the world if you get divorced no matter what society tells you! your happiness matters,” one fan commented.

“I skipped the marriage part and just stayed single 🤣,” another wrote, to which Ratajkowski responded: “good for you 🥰 wish i was that wise! i personally wouldn’t have understood marriage and would’ve worried about what i was missing in my 30s.”
