Congratulations are in order for Ali Wong, who made history last night when she became the first Asian American woman to win a Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television.

When the comedian and actress’s name was announced as the winner, she shared a sweet smooch with her boyfriend, fellow actor and comedian Bill Hader, before taking the stage at The Beverly Hilton to accept her award. During her speech, Wong sweetly shouted out her ex-husband, Justin Hakuta.

“I really need to thank the father of my children and my best friend, Justin, for all of your love and support,” she stated. “It’s because of you that I’m able to be a working mother.”

And while Wong’s award was the focus of the evening, many fans took to social media to express their surprise over learning that the 41-year-old and Hader, 45, are in fact a couple.

“Some of us did not know that Ali Wong and Bill Hader are dating and some of us need a moment to process,” one person wrote on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

“Am I the last to know about Ali Wong and Bill Hader??” another user inquired.

“Ali Wong and Bill Hader are the comedy power couple we never knew we needed,” a fan cheered.

“it is so disorienting to me that ppl just found out tonight that Ali Wong and bill hader are dating. how does it feel to be normal. I have known this for far too long,” someone else quipped.
