We admire honest and relatable social media content just as much as the next person. The platforms are used best when they depict real life, and multimedia mogul Katie Couric’s latest Instagram post did just that.

Alongside an unfiltered photo, the 66-year-old revealed that she has struggled with eczema ever since she was young. Recently, according to her caption, “it’s started to flare up again,” causing her a lot of discomfort and puffiness on her face.

“Calling all sensitive skin sufferers!” she wrote in her Instagram caption. “I also deal with allergic contact dermatitis — safe to say, I have to be careful about what I put on my face.”

Thankfully for her—and for you, if you suffer from similar problems—she has found some products and tips that really do help. Couric even shared what has helped her throughout her eczema journey in a blog post.

Her fans and followers took to the comment section to sympathize and express similar struggles.

“I have it too Kc. It stinks!” American actress Kristen Chenoweth commiserated.

“😢So sorry. I have eczema from celiac. It is a struggle. Hang in there!” another follower added.

“Me too, Katie, me too! Thank you so much for sharing. ❤️ I need all of the tips. I’ve been struggling for so many years with it too,” one said.

While we are, of course, sorry that the media personality has dealt with this for so long, we’re glad she opened up about it and shared the useful products that she has found over the years. We’re sure her followers are, too.
