Georgina Burke Glows in Latest IG Selfie, Shares Inspiring Message
Georgina Burke is getting candid about her wellness routine. The SI Swimsuit model shared a stunning, bare-faced selfie on Instagram on Feb. 22 with a sweet and inspiring caption.
The 31-year-old wore a black sports bra and drawstring leggings and posed directly under the sun. He hair was tossed up into a tight bun and her green eyes, flushed cheeks and freckles were glowing.
“When you don’t feel good. It’s on you to make the changes,” she captioned the post she shared with her 146,000 followers. “I found every excuse in the book. I got lazy. I gained weight. I became uncomfortable. Seeing myself loose myself was not an option.”
“Consistency and routine is key for me,” Burke finished. “Start small and you’ll see ♥️.”
Fans and friends chimed in to the comments to express support and understanding, while others were quick to admire her skin.
“Looking gorgeous as always,” someone gushed. “Super glow! ✨✨✨.”
“Absolutely 💪👊,” one fan agreed.
“True💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻,” another piped.
The Australian model was a SI Swimsuit rookie last year and was photographed in Barbados by Ben Watts.
Burke was discovered during her time as a law student more than a decade ago and has since modeled for Polo Ralph Lauren Swim, was the face of Torrid’s swimsuit collection and even launched her own swimwear line. She created Burke NYC with an inclusive mindset in which sizes are just a guide rather than a constraint.
Through her years in the modeling industry, Burke has picked up a few tips and grown a lot. She no longer feels the need to fit into a certain size or change herself in any way.
“I honestly think the most important part of being a model is your mental health,” she explained. “I’ve spent the last three years working so extensively at that. I think it’s so important to surround yourself with incredible people. I wasn’t doing that for the longest time. I’m finally at a point in my career where people aren’t telling me what size I need to be and I’m getting booked for who I am. Do you know how liberating that feels? It’s a game changer for me and I think my whole mental state around that.”
