Gigi Hadid Hadid Shows Off Checkered Bikini in Summer Throwback Photos

The supermodel reflects on warmer days in a recent Instagram post.

It seems like summer was just yesterday, so as the days get shorter and the cold winter season approaches, it’s no wonder many of us choose to reflect on warm, summer memories to keep our spirits up. That includes Gigi Hadid.

Yesterday, the model shared a series of summer throwback photos on Instagram, including one of herself clad in a blue-checkered bikini top and brown-checkered string-bikini bottoms. She captioned the post: “some lost summer files .. bc I can’t believe this year has gone by so fast & it’s getting too cold toooo quick 🥺”

Tropic of C, the brand which created the bikini Hadid was wearing, commented saying what we’re all thinking: “❤️❤️❤️ you look amazing in that set.”

Hadid’s additional summer throwbacks showed her eating and enjoying drinks with friends, a rare photo of her holding daughter, Khai, at the beach, festive family celebrations and more.

While she’s reflecting on summer, Hadid is also looking ahead to the cozy season. The supermodel serves as creative director of knitwear brand Guest in Residence. She has been promoting the company’s new winter sport-inspired pieces on Instagram in a series of cute looks.

When the 100% cashmere clothing brand launched back in September, Hadid told Elle the creative process was largely influenced by her experience being a mom.

“Being a mom, you start to think about what the trends and style might be as your child grows up, and what I hope to pass down to her. With that in mind, I think my intention with Guest in Residence is to be able to create pieces that are fun in their colorways but classic enough that they can transcend many generations and can be passed down,” Hadid told Elle. “From me to my daughter, or me to my mom, or me to a friend of mine—it doesn’t really matter the age or the sex of the person, these are pieces, especially in the core collection, that can really take on anyone’s personal style.”
