Hailey Bieber has been dealing with haters who spread rumors and talk negatively about her relationship with husband Justin Bieber since long before the two were even engaged. As one of the most public and famous celebrity couples, the two have experienced their share of internet trolls but continue to persevere, show off their healthy romance and tune out the noise.

The singer and model, who got married in September 2019, had dated on and off since 2016.

The Rhode skin care founder took to Instagram stories on Wednesday to address the surge of rude messages she received after posting a sweet 30th birthday tribute to the two-time Grammy Award-winning artist on Friday.

“Just FYI the stories and constant ‘blind items’ I see on TikTok are 100% of the time wrong. Made out of thin air … Come from the land of delusion …,” the 27-year-old wrote. “So I know it may be fun feeding into these stories but just know they’re always false xx sorry to spoil it.”

Critics have spread false narratives that the Canada-born singer is with Hailey for citizenship purposes, while others have sparked divorce or pregnancy rumors. And, while the FILA and Victoria’s Secret campaign star does her best to not let outside opinions get to her, she occasionally does struggle with it.

Justin and Hailey rarely address the unnecessarily controversial topic that is their marriage, though the New York native and now-Los Angeles resident did open up about it for the first time when she appeared on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast in 2022.

“I think it’s sad. I think it’s sad to be against someone’s happiness. I think it’s sad to not wish somebody well. Who am I supposed to be that would be acceptable? And then that means I’m living for other people, and that means I’m being a people pleaser, which I struggle with a lot,” she said. “I just want mutual respect between people, and to me that means, you don’t have to say anything—you don’t have to like me, but you don’t have to say anything either.”
