Jena Sims has a busy schedule these days. The Swim Search finalist is a nonprofit founder, designer and a new mom, but the model does her best to balance it all—particularly when it comes to spending quality time with her husband, pro golfer Brooks Koepka.

In a new interview with Ocean Drive magazine, the 34-year-old chatted about pregnancy, her professional goals and more. Sims also revealed how she prioritizes her partnership with such a busy schedule.

“... Being intentional with dates, communicating and giving each other a ton of grace,” is an important part of balancing it all, according to Sims. “‘Date night’ can be something as simple as ordering breakfast on Uber Eats and eating together in bed, just something that mixes up the routine and you’re both able to put the phones down and just hang. You must communicate your needs.”

Sims admitted that in addition to spending quality time together, she and Koepka each enjoy their alone time to recharge individually. The couple, who began dating in 2017, tied the knot last June and welcomed their baby boy, Crew, in July. She regularly shares sweet snippets of their family life on Instagram with her followers.

While the two clearly appreciate something as simple as a breakfast in bed date, they recently enjoyed some quality time together in Italy, where Koepka participated in the Ryder Cup. On Sept. 28, Sims shared a gorgeous Instagram carousel of the two on the Spanish Steps in Rome.
