Jenna Ortega Is a Goth-Glam Dream in Versace Dress With Plunging Neckline
Life imitates art when it comes to Jenna Ortega and her red carpet looks. It seems like the Wednesday actress drew inspiration from her character, Wednesday Addams, for the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards on Sunday.
The actress, who was nominated for Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her work in the Netflix show, wore a black vintage Versace gown with a plunging neckline and asymmetrical bustline. The dress from the designer’s 1994 collection featured a thigh-high slit, which perfectly displayed the star’s black platform heels. Ortega’s outfit was styled by Enrique Melendez and she accessorized with Tiffany & Co. jewels, including a diamond bracelet, rings, necklace and earrings.
The You actress showed off her look on Instagram and expressed gratitude to her team along with the clothing and jewelry designers.
“Thanks so much to @sagawards for a beautiful night!” she wrote, and later added, “It has been an honor, you all are too good to me.”
Hairstylist David Stanwell coaxed Ortega’s brunette locks into sleek waves, while makeup artist Vincent Oquendo opted for bold white eyeshadow, gorgeously bronzed cheeks and a beige lip.
“Adore you with all my heart … you da best 🖤🤍🖤,” Stanwell gushed in the comments.
“Always a blast honey ❤️❤️❤️,” Oquendo concurred.
“Stunning as always gorgeous girl ❤️,” another person wrote.
“QUEEN OF THE WORLD,” exclaimed someone else.
Ortega and The White Lotus actress Aubrey Plaza teamed up to present an award at last night’s ceremony, and in a deadpan-style monologue, questioned why they had been paired together.
Ortega will return to the Scream franchise next month in Scream VI, which hits theaters on March 10. She will make her debut as a host on Saturday Night Live the following evening.
