Jennifer Lopez Shares Throwback to Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show Performance

The performer shared the stage with Shakira at the Big Game in 2020.

It’s hard to believe that Jennifer Lopez and Shakira’s Super Bowl halftime show took place three years ago. The “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer shared a flashback to the epic performance on Instagram on Feb. 3.

Lopez’s compilation video featured clips of the singer rehearsing for the 2020 event and footage from the performance, as well as snippets of fans recreating her dance. The nostalgic footage was backtracked to her song, “Get Right.”

The clip also included Lopez’s daughter, Emme, who joined her mom onstage to sing “Let’s Get Loud.” In an IG story, Lopez wrote of Emme, “My lil’ coconut gave me all the energy I needed to go out there...”

Lopez captioned the post she shared with her 233 million followers, “3 years ago … 🏈 #TBT #SuperBowlLIV #Halftime.”

Fans and friends were quick to reminisce in the comments section of JLo’s post.

“The best Half Time Show in History! ❤️,” wrote one person, while another added, “Queeeeen 🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍 The energy this video oozes out ❤️🔥🔥.”

“Energy🔥 just a little reminder JLO is 53 🙌🏾,” piped in someone else.

“One of the most iconic halftime shows we have ever witnessed, and with only half the time,” another follower added, referring to Lopez’s shared stage time with Shakira. “The sequencing of on amazing catalog was second to none. Thoroughly enjoyed you, Queen.”

While Lopez reflects on performances past, she has plenty to look forward to this year. Her rom-com, Shotgun Wedding, just dropped on Prime Video last weekend and the megastar will release her ninth studio album, This Is Me... Now, later this year.

“The same way This Is Me… Then captured a moment in time, a very special moment in time, this album also did the same thing, captured a very special moment in time. So, this is me now,” Lopez told Vogue of her upcoming album.
