The event also happened to fall on Valentine’s Day.

Jessica Chastain’s red power suit served as the perfect outfit for two events: Valentine’s Day and the screening of her new show, George & Tammy, at The Whitby Hotel in New York City.

The Molly’s Game star wore a striking dark red blazer coat and pant set with a matching satin button-up underneath. She shared a fun photo of the look on Instagram and posed in an elevator with a green square vase full of flowers in each hand. The Eyes of Tammy Faye Academy Award-winning actress’s long red hair tied the look together perfectly, as did her oversized orange sunglasses.

“Now delivering your Valentine’s Day floral arrangements,” she captioned the Feb. 13. post she shared with her 4.9 million IG followers.

“Icon🔥🔥🔥,” Bryce Dallas Howard wrote in the comments.

“Gorgeous…..the flowers are pretty too,” piped in Isaac Boots.

“Is the delivery girl included?💖,” one fan gushed.

“will u be my Valentine?” another chirped.

George & Tammy, which also stars Michael Shannon, Katy Mixon and Steve Zahn alongside Chastain, is a six-episode drama show directed by John Hillcoat. The Showtime mini-series premiered on Dec. 4 of last year and the final episode aired last month.

The 45-year-old plays country singer Tammy Wynette, who is in a complicated but music-inspiring relationship with George Jones. The show, set in the 60s and 70s, is based on the true story of the country music legends.

Chastain is not only a perfect fit for the big screen, but The Help star made her Broadway debut in 2012’s The Heiress and is returning to the stage for A Doll’s House later this year.
