Josephine Skriver, Jasmine Tookes Launch New Collection of JOJA Activewear
Lifestyle brand and activewear clothing line JOJA just launched a brand new collection on Thursday. The company, founded by models and BFFs Jasmine Tookes and Josephine Skriver, has been teasing the new “gymnasium” drop on Instagram all week. The collection features four new items in two colors each.
The Drive Sports Bra ($54) and Fairway Leggings ($94) come in both a light sand and black color and feature a flattering V-shaped band as well as white trimming. According to an Instagram live that Skriver conducted, the material is one of her favorites and this particular set is a good fit for low-impact exercises like golf and Pilates, but also perfect for cycling.
The top is double-lined without padding and includes a deeper neckline and lower back than previous JOJA styles.
“It’s super soft, super cooling and light,” Skriver said about the set. “It just feels like it’s on you but not too crazy. It still hugs you in you in and does all the right things. I’m obsessed.”
The second style comes in a navy blue and dark green color. The Topspin Sports Bra ($54) features a square neckline and thin crisscrossed straps at the back. The Ace Leggings ($94) have a cute white stripe detail down the sides.
This set was created with athletes in mind, according to the website, and is made with sweat-wicking material.
“We’ve been working on this fabric and sourcing for so long,” Skriver explained. “It was really hard to find the perfect, most soft, still snapback [material]. It’s super cool to the touch. It has good stretch but it comes back which is super important.”
Skriver noted that a lot of thought and discussion went into picking “cool-toned” colors so that they go well with most skin tones.
“Me and Jasmine’s skins are so [different],” she added. “It’s so important that between her and I, and even more paler and more darker friends, we all feel comfortable in these clothes.”
The brand’s new “gymnasium” collection is available now at joja.com.
