A couple week after announcing the birth of her first child, a daughter named Aurora James, Danish model Josephine Skriver has shared the highly-anticipated first photos with her newborn. In an Instagram post on Sept. 4, the 30-year-old shared the sweetest pair of black-and-white photos holding her young daughter.

Skriver married her now husband, American pop-rock singer Alexander DeLeon, last year. They announced the pregnancy in early May in a series of bump-baring photographs on Skriver’s Instagram page.

This newest post debuts the first snapshots of the baby following her birth, as the announcement displayed only a close-up of the parents holding their newborn’s hand.

“Her 🤍,” the Copenhagen native captioned the post that she shared with her 8.6 million followers. In the sweet pair of photos, the model held her little girl in her arms and donned a linen shirt and a pair of baggy jeans for the adorable photoshoot. In the second snap, Skriver kissed Aurora James on the head and looked up at the camera, clearly enamored with motherhood.

Like her previous posts featuring her newborn baby or baby bump, the pair of photos received a lot of attention and love from friends and fans of the seasoned model.

“CONGRATS 😍❤️,” fellow SI Swimsuit model Chanel Iman commented.

“Congratulations Josephine!!!” model Martha Hunt added.

“Awwe this is so sweet Jo 🥹💕Aurora is full of love 💕,” another friend added.

Skriver is thriving in this new stage, and we can’t wait to witness her sweet relationship with her daughter to come.
