Josh Allen Shows Just How Smitten He Is With Hailee Steinfeld on the Sidelines

The NFL quarterback and actress tied the knot earlier this year.

Josh Allen is raising the bar for men everywhere, and gentlement, we hope you’re taking notes.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback was spotted on the sidelines during the team’s preseason matchup against the Chicago Bears, and even after a tough 38-0 loss, he was glowing. Why? Because the newlywed is forever in his honeymoon era.

When asked by a reporter about life after tying the knot with his “best friend“ and actress Hailee Steinfeld, the 29-year-old didn’t hesitate to share just how smitten and in love he is—and how his thriving personal life has made him an even better player.

“To have the support that I do at home and to have someone that I share similar life interests with and wants in life—you know, it’s an awesome feeling,” the California native said. “And I get to support somebody as much as she supports me. So I’m very happy, obviously.”

Allen and Steinfeld first sparked romance rumors in early 2023 after being spotted out together at a sushi restaurant in New York City. While they kept things low-key at first, fans quickly became obsessed with the unlikely pairing. The Oscar-nominated actress and the star NFL star were both coming off busy years—she had just wrapped press for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Hawkeye, while he was deep in the 2022–2023 season with the Bills, who are five-time AFC Champions.

The athlete hasn’t shied away from gushing about his wife—even before they had tied the knot. After being named league MVP earlier this year, the quarterback gave a heartfelt shoutout to Steinfeld, 28, in his acceptance speech. “You’ve been my rock, you’re my best friend. I would not be standing on this stage if it weren’t for you,” he said about the Sinners and Pitch Perfect star on stage.

The sweet moment had fans swooning and confirmed what many already knew: these two were the real deal.

They confirmed their engagement on Instagram in November 2024. In true power couple fashion, they kept their wedding mostly under wraps, only confirming the news on social media a few weeks later with coordinated simple “Husband” and “Wifey” captions. The dreamy, intimate ceremony in May was followed by a tropical honeymoon in the Maldives.

Football might be his game, but it’s abundantly clear that Allen is also winning at love.

The Bills are set to play their season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 7.
