Kamie Crawford, a rookie in last year’s SI Swimsuit Issue, made a splash during her photo shoot with Derek Kettela in St. Croix. The TV and podcast host returned for her sophomore magazine appearance and was photographed by Yu Tsai in Dominica earlier this year.

The model uses her growing platform to advocate for diversity and inclusion in the industry and promotes representation of women of color everywhere.

“It makes me feel even more amazing, and just like that I’m living in my purpose, being a part of a team that’s aligned with everything that I’m about—body positivity, and like inclusivity and women empowerment. All of those things are what my personal brand is built on,” the former Miss Teen USA said about working with SI Swimsuit. “Most of my sisters—well, all of my sisters—are darker complected than I am. So when it comes to brands that I align myself with, it’s very important to me that I only work with those that represent what I see in my household.”
