Katie and Denise Austin are total mother-daughter goals. The fitness influencer and 1990s fitness icon attended the ESPY Awards together in Los Angeles on July 12, and struck a power pose while jumping in the air on the red carpet.

Katie, 29, donned a gorgeous ruby red satin gown featuring a cowl neck and thigh-high slit with strappy silver stilettos, while the 66-year-old rocked a light pink strapless floor length dress with metallic platform heels. Both women opted for old Hollywood-inspired curls. The two stood arm and arm on the red carpet and were also captured flexing their muscles in mid-air.

The three-time SI Swimsuit model, who was named last year’s co-Rookie of the Year, wore a Denise Austin-inspired one-piece during her photoshoot in the Dominican Republic for the 2023 issue.

“I really also liked my pink latex [swimsuit]. It was very Barbie,” she recalled during the magazine’s launch weekend in Florida. “It really reminded me of my mom’s old workout leotards and so that was kind of like a cool full-circle moment. My mom saw it, of course, and it also reminded her of what she used to wear on TV.”

The duo famously walked the SI Swimsuit runway show together during Miami Swim Week last year.

“It was so fun especially to do that runway together last year and to like bring her into something that I’m doing because usually I’m involved in her stuff and she’s showing me the ropes,” Katie gushed. “She’s so proud of me. She’s always looking out for me. Oh my gosh, I could not live without my mom.”
