Kelly Clarkson Admitted to How She Saves Time in the Shower and the Internet Is Divided

The talk show host and comedian Kenan Thompson were on opposite sides this debate.

There are two types of people in the world: those who don’t pee in the shower, and those who do. Singer Kelly Clarkson happens to be the latter—and she’s not afraid to admit it to the public. The admission has obviously sparked a debate on whether the activity is hygienic and common, or not.

Saturday Night Live’s Kenan Thompson appeared on a segment of The Kelly Clarkson show when the American Idol winner admitted that she sometimes brushes her teeth in the shower, but pees “almost every time” in the interest of speeding up her morning routine. She added that she certainly is a busy women and the multitasking actually helps a lot.

“You can’t help it,” the 41-year-old singer defended herself with a laugh. “The hot water hits your body... I gotta go. I feel productive.”

“That’s awesome. Good for [you]. I’m glad that you are open enough to say that,” the 45-year-old actor said.

He visited the talk show to promote his new memoir When I Was Your Age: Life Lessons, Funny Stories & Questionable Parenting Advice from a Professional Clown, and chimed in with a giggle and nod of understanding.

“I’m not against it but when I do it, I always feel so ashamed. I would lie if I said I had never done it, but I try not to,” the comedian responded, noting that brushing teeth in the shower, however, is “gross” and an absolute no-go.

Viewers and fans of the talk show took to the YouTube clip’s comments to share their own thoughts and opinions. Some strongly disagreed with the idea of urinating in a place where you are meant to clean yourself, while others were totally on-board with Clarkson.

“I love it Kelly has absolutely no filter it’s funny since moving to New York her country accent seems to be stronger,” one fan gushed. “She always finds a way to make us weirdos feel comfortable And I think that's a huge part of her success is just completely lacking a filter.”

“Both are gross,” someone staunchly declared.
