Kim Kardashian Revives Iconic Saturday Night Live Skit ‘Grown Ass Women’
Kim Kardashian is winning the throwback Thursday trend this week with an Instagram post reviving her iconic Saturday Night Live skit, “Grown Ass Women.”
The reality TV star made her hosting debut on the late night show in October 2021 and delivered an absolutely memorable monologue in addition to acting in some satirical and hilarious segments.
The video began with Kardashian and four other grown women and mothers standing in line for a club.
“I don’t know about this,” one said doubtfully. “I haven’t been out to a club since forever.”
“Come on,” Kardashian, a mom of four, cheered. “It’s gonna be so much fun. We used to always do this.”
“Yeah, in our 20s,” another chimed in.
“Well, all I do is take care of these kids,” the fourth woman rallied. “O.K.? I need this.”
They headed inside the club and music started playing. They all donned sparkly club-appropriate mini dresses and full glam.
“All my grown and sexy ladies stand up. You give so much to everyone else, it’s time you had one night out for yourself,” they sang. “Grown ass women and we out for the night / We make our own money and you know we looking right / Boss ass lady and I run my household / I’m buying all the bottles and they better be cold / I left my man at home and my kids are with the nanny / Dress so tight all the haters can’t stand me.”
Kardashian appeared on the screen and danced with her arms in the air.
“I’m in the VIP and the music is pumping,” she jammed. “I get up on the couch and—” she immediately fell asleep upon touching the seat and began snoring.
The rest of the video continued with the women showing off their red bottomed heels (and the following clip showed them icing their feet). They danced to music, complained it was “too loud” and questioned why there was “nowhere to sit in the club.”
Kardashian woke up from her nap, claimed she was just “resting her eyes,” began singing again and proceeded to fall asleep on a man’s shoulder. The three-minute video ended with all of the women stretching their legs and yawing.
“Yo, there’s gonna be hella traffic,” one said. “Girl, we need to head out. What time is it?”
