Kristen Louelle is getting candid about pregnancy. The 2021 SI Swim Search finalist shared a series of gorgeous beach photos showing off her growing baby bump on Instagram. She detailed the good, the bad and the in-between of each trimester in the caption.

Louelle already shares two young boys with former NFL player Tyler Gaffney.

She wore a gorgeous white crochet mini dress and hair scarf in the first two photos and switched to a bright blue floor-length gown in the next two snaps. Her long blonde locks were styled into tousled waves and she sported a fresh face of makeup, including a glossy brown lip. In the final photo, Louelle wore a burnt orange bikini from Solo Mío Swim.

The San Diego native admitted that the first trimester made her feel like she had been “hit by a truck,” but she’s happy to have avoided the nauseous phase. She added that she still feels constantly exhausted.

“I got my energy back & had a ‘cute bump’ that lasted almost up until 8 months. I worked out regularly, ate healthy, ate all the sushi #sorrynotsorry & lived my life as if I weren’t pregnant at all,” she explained about the second trimester. “I really feel like this is accredited to my lifestyle leading up to pregnancy, along with consistent work in being mentally right & happy.”

Louelle is now in her third trimester, and at the beginning, she almost forgot she was even pregnant. That feeling didn’t last for long, however. She noted that her heartburn was “unbearable” and sleeping was so uncomfortable that sometimes she felt like she couldn’t breathe.

“It was slowly then suddenly for me, but we’re in the final stretch with a month to go, so suck it up KG,” she continued. “Every pregnancy, every woman & every child is so incredibly different, no two are the same. And while I preach being healthy I also know elite athletes who vomit every day, so is there a trick? I’m not entirely sure but all we can do is focus on what we can control & that’s how we treat our bodies, what we put in them & all the external factors life throws our way.”

Louelle and Gaffney announced the exciting news last December and mentioned that their baby is due in April.

“I know you see timelines full of women hating pregnancy, sick etc & I don’t necessarily love it by any means, but I’m here to say it is a POWERFUL experience as a woman, everything does go back, you can still be sexy for yourself & for your man, it’s not the end of the world & you can actually come back BETTER having gone through it,” she finished. “I mean.. at least that’s my plan shiiiiii 🤷‍♀️.”
