Leyna Bloom is a fashion icon and her latest New York Fashion Week outfit falls nothing short of her usual breathtaking looks.
The 2021 SI Swimsuit cover star posed in a stunning, sheer figure-hugging gown with a square neckline and vertical black stripes. The gorgeous dress, featuring a low-back, was from LaQuan Smith’s 2023 fall-winter collection and stylist Patti Wilson paired it with funky silver earrings. Bloom sported bronze glam by Eunice Kristen. The makeup artist opted for shimmery brown eyeshadow, a matching gloss, carved cheekbones with warm-toned contour, a bold black double eyeliner wing and dramatic lashes.
“A brain for business and a body for sin,” Smith captioned Bloom’s Feb. 22 series of photos taken by photographer Greg Swales.
Bloom leaned her back against a wall in the first pic and turned around to press her palms into it in the second shot. The model’s hair was slicked back into a braid by hairstylist Lacy Redway.
The actress made her big screen debut in 2019’s Port Authority, which also earned her the title of the first transgender woman to lead a film premiering at the Cannes Film Festival.
According to a recent Variety article, Bloom is starring in a new unscripted series called Category Is. The ITV America and Good Company show is an eight-episode documentary about New York City’s ballroom scene.
“The series chronicles the personal and professional lives of nine members of this all-Black and queer ‘chosen family,’” Bloom explained in her announcement IG post. “Power struggles, romance and interpersonal rivalries abound as they battle to make names for themselves in the House, the Ballroom scene and around the world, smashing stereotypes and overcoming tremendous adversity.”
