Lindsey Vonn has diligently kept her massive social media following updated on her journey to the Milan Cortina Games and its unfortunate ending as she crashed during the women's downhill race on Feb. 8.

Just days after revealing to her 3.6 million Instagram followers that she was “finally out of the hospital” following multiple surgeries for a “complex tibia fracture,” she posted a reel dedicated to the medical professionals who have helped her with her latest injury and throughout the course of her award-winning career.

Today, Feb. 26, the Olympic downhill skier, who notched one gold and two bronze medals in five appearances at the global games, shared a one-minute-long reel to the app that highlighted just some of the surgeons, nurses, physical therapists and more who have played a role in her journey to athletic success and international recognition.

“From Dr Tom Hackett saving my leg, Dr Roche building my partial knee replacement, fixing torn ligaments, therapy and rehab... my doctors and medical team are the reason why I was able to do what I did this year and throughout my whole career,” she started the reel’s caption. “You see the end result, when at 41 I climbed my way back to number 1 in the world.”

Vonn went on, adding, “But you don’t see all the hours my medical team put in with me to build me back. Even at the Olympics with a torn ACL, Lindsay Winninger and Lorenzo Gonzalez worked around the clock to get my knee ready to race again. You didn’t see me in the pool doing therapy at 930pm.”

The decorated athlete concluded her note by emphasizing her gratitude, “It literally takes a village and I am so grateful for every single one of them! Thank you for putting your heart into helping me. Thank you for letting me follow my dreams one last time 🙏🏻❤️.”

Plus, Vonn has folks across the internet cheering for her recovery every step of the way. Fans of the athlete spread their well wishes in the post’s comment section and expressed their own appreciation for her dedicated medical team, as well.

“Way to have her back medical team!!!!,” one commenter cheered.

“Amazing things, come from amazing teams!,” another user added.
