Lindsey Vonn Shows Off Her Impressive Downhill Skills Ahead of Ski Season

The athlete reminisced while gearing up for adventures to come.

Lindsey Vonn.

Lindsey Vonn may be retired from professional alpine skiing, but that doesn’t mean the sport is behind her. The athlete officially stopped competing in 2019, due to a series of knee injuries. In the years since, the athlete has undergone several surgeries, including one as recently as this past summer.

Despite that, she continues to enjoy outdoor activity. Between riding a Jet Ski over the summer and afternoons spent paddleboarding with her dog over Thanksgiving, Vonn has proven that the series of injuries and surgeries won’t stop her.

Moreover, she has remained involved in her former sport through joining the committee bidding to bring the Winter Olympics back to Salt Lake City. Their recent success—securing a “preferred host” designation for the 2034 games—has clearly put skiing back on her mind. Though she no longer competes (and in spite of her past injuries), Vonn continues to ski recreationally.

In honor of the coming season, she shared a video to her Instagram, flaunting her impressive downhill skills.

“With all of the Olympic 2034 talk, I’m getting really excited for ski season,” she wrote in the caption.  “Can’t wait for ❄️.”

We weren’t the only ones impressed by her moves. Her followers were, too, and they shared as much in the comment section.

“Flawless turns! Love it!!” one person complimented.

“Wow fantastic 😍,” a follower added.

“Skiing with LV, #1 on my bucket list 😉,” someone else noted.

We can’t wait to see what moves the athlete pulls out this coming season on the slopes.
