While in Puerto Rico on the location of her 2023 SI Swimsuit photoshoot, model Lorena Durán demonstrated five of her go-to salsa moves. The Seville, Spain, native has posed for the annual magazine three times, starting with her rookie feature in the British Virgin Islands in 2020. She returned to the fold last year and posed for the magazine in Montenegro.

Durán sported a bright, colorful swim top for the occasion with a nude-pink cover-up. She started by swiveling her hips right and left before moving on to her second dance move, which incorporated a spin. Her third step involved one step forward followed by one step back, and the camera panned to Durán’s feet as her long cover-up blew in the breeze. She shimmied her shoulders to demonstrate an additional move, before wrapping up her lesson by miming a spin that typically involves a dance partner.

Whether she’s on the beach for work or at home while off-duty, Durán clearly loves to dance. Her in-gym training regularly involves busting a move, as does her personal time, per the model’s Instagram and TikTok content. She also enjoys pole dancing in her spare time as a way to stay active.

In addition to her work with SI Swimsuit, Durán is known for being Victoria’s Secret’s first curve model. She has noted on numerous occasions that the support of fellow women integral to the SI Swimsuit brand is what keeps her returning to the fold year after year.

“It is incredible to belong to this great family and support women,” she wrote on Instagram after the release of the 2023 issue in May. “Thanks one more year to everyone who made this dream possible.”
