LSU Basketball Champion Angel Reese, Teammate Flau’jae Johnson Jam to ‘Top Say,’ Promote Rapper’s New Single
Angel Reese and Flau’jae Johnson aren’t just NCAA basketball champions. They are also besties and one another’s biggest fans. The SI Swimsuit model and the rapper showed off their moves and jammed to YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s single, “Top Say,” in a recent TikTok.
Reese was named Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four this year, while Johnson was awarded SEC Freshman of the Year.
“BIG 4 ANTHEM (outnow) !! Link in n bio 🔥🔥#big4 #fyp #bayoubarbie #newmusic” Johnson wrote while promoting her new single in the caption of the June 15 post.
“Big 4 Anthem” was released June 9 and marks Johnson’s second single this year. A previous track, “Beatbox,” went viral on TikTok for one specific line: “Don’t ask me about me and what’s his name; we don’t even talk no more.”
Reese, 21, who was featured in the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue after being photographed by Yu Tsai in Los Angeles, revealed that her favorite music to listen to before dominating on the basketball court is in fact Johnson’s.
“I have to take a shower before the game, and then I have to do my hair and edges—all of that has to be done with music on,” she said. “I have to have music on [even] when I get to the gym. I have my headphones on, and I’m like zoned out. I’m in the mode.”
Reese added that any of the 19-year-old guard’s songs will get her in the zone.
