Maude Apatow Stuns in Bright Pink Leather Gown With Open Back and High Neck for Her Off-Broadway Show’s Opening Night

The ‘Euphoria’ actress stars in Westside Theater’s ‘Little Shop of Horrors.’

Maude Apatow is the star of the show in more ways than one. She stunned in an absolutely gorgeous magenta leather Magda Butrym gown during the opening night of her off-Broadway show, Little Shop of Horrors. The Euphoria star is the main female lead, Audrey, in the play that runs at the Westside Theater in New York City through April 2. She stars alongside Matt Doyle and Bryce Pinkham.

Apatow shared an adorable series of Instagram snaps on Feb. 21 of herself in the dress on stage and with costars, friends and family. The actress was photographed by Elias Tahan.

“OPENING NIGHT @littleshopnyc,” she captioned the post she shared with her 4.5 million IG followers. “My face still hurts from smiling so much 😭.”

The look was styled by Mimi Cuttrell, who paired the open-backed, rose-detailed dress with simple black pointed-toe heels.

The 25-year-old auditioned for the show late last December and was given two weeks to move from Los Angeles to New York City for rehearsals. She’s a total triple threat, with acting, singing and screenwriting as both talents and passions of her’s.

In an interview with Bustle, the former Northwestern University attendee (who dropped out after one year to play Lexi Howard in the hit HBO show Euphoria) said she learned a ton about the industry and how to navigate it from her parents, filmmaker Judd Apatow and actress Leslie Mann.

“My dad always told me that the more you can learn how to [write] things for yourself, the more control you’ll have,” she said. “[With acting] I just have to surrender to the fact that I don’t have any control. I could overthink it for hours, so I just have to be like, ‘O.K., trust that the director knows what he’s doing and he’s not going to do me dirty.’”
