Supermodel Maye Musk is using her platform for good. The 2022 SI Swimsuit Issue cover star shared a stunning throwback photo from her early modeling days alongside an important message about sun safety. The author and dietitian donned a black-and-white mini dress in the monochrome photo and posed on a boat amid a body of water.

She showed off her long, toned legs in the photo taken in 1969, when Musk was 20. The Canadian-born model tagged her location as Vaal River, Vanderbijlpark in South Africa.

“1969. 20 years old. #SouthAfrica No hat. No sun protection. ☀️So, today I go for my annual skin cancer screening. With increased temperatures worldwide, we need to take precautions to avoid sun damage,” the 75-year-old mom of three wrote under the post shared with her 1.4 million followers. “I have been very careful since the age of 35, when my aunt in Montreal died of skin cancer. She played golf in Florida during the summer. No hat. No sun protection. Today’s health message 🤗#AWomanmakesAPlan 📖#ItsGreatToBe75 💪👩‍🎓.”

“MAYE!!! 😮,” commented Paul Foreman.

“Love this message! ❤️,” Kim Perell added.

“Beautiful then, beautiful and wise now,” one fan wrote.
