Meghan Trainor Welcomes Third Baby, Daughter Mikey Moon, Via Surrogate
On Tuesday, Jan. 20, Meghan Trainor introduced the world to her newborn daughter, Mikey Moon. Her third child, whom she revealed was delivered via surrogate, was born two days prior, on Jan. 18, the 32-year-old singer-songwriter revealed to Instagram yesterday.
“Our baby girl Mikey Moon Trainor has finally made it to the world thanks to our incredible, superwoman surrogate,” Trainor penned under a seven slide carousel, shared with her husband, Daryl Sabara. In its cover slide, she tearfully held the newborn. In the post’s consecutive image, her sons, Riley (4) and Barry (2) gazed in awe at their little sister. In slide four, Sabara snapped a selfie with his wife, who cradled the infant in her arms.
Trainor’s caption continued with a message of appreciation for the healthcare workers that guided her journey to meeting Mikey Moon, before the “Made You Look” singer added, “We are over the moon in love with this precious girl. Riley and Barry have been so excited, they even got to choose her middle name.” Then, she signed off with by telling her 18.1 million followers on the app that her crew is “going to enjoy our family time now, love you all” and concluded the caption with a trio of emojis.

Trainor on expanding her family
While some fans expressed their surprise over Trainor’s announcement—with one fan commenting, “You kept this secret so good I’m shocked”—the pop star has previously chatted about wanting more children.
In a February 2022 interview with Parents, Trainor told the publication, when talking about her future family planning, “I’m gonna try to get to four.” She later added, “We’ll see what happens after three. I’m not doing less than that. I need three.” For now, however, Trainor seems to be soaking up all the newborn snuggles with little Mikey Moon before heading out on “The Get in Girl” Tour in June.
