Melissa Wood-Tepperberg’s SI Swimsuit fitting was an experience she will never forget. The 2023 rookie shared an adorable behind-the-scenes video from the fitting before her debut photo shoot with Yu Tsai in Dominica on Instagram.
The MWH founder tried on tons of cool, unique and flattering bikinis and one-pieces and had a blast modeling each bathing suit. The video was set to the sound of ALTÉGO’s “Bling Bling.”

“There’s nothing like some real bts moments to share the depth behind it all,” the mom of two wrote. “The happiness on my face during my first fitting for SI speaks for itself…😭 I’m soooo excited to finally bring some life back into our YouTube channel (melissawoodhealth) with the full length video of this incredible experience. @margotzamet @mj_day ✨.”
Styling for the workout and wellness leader’s photo shoot was inspired by mother nature. Suits were custom-made with earth-toned palettes and textured materials to create pieces that mimicked Dominica’s breathtaking natural landscape.
“When I moved to nyc in my early 20’s I had a sports illustrated planner I used to write down my deepest desires in life and being in @si_swimsuit was at the top of that list,” Wood-Tepperberg wrote in an Instagram post on Monday. “And now as a 40 year old mom of two I’m officially an SI rookie. I hope this gives someone a ray of hope to never stop believing in yourself and going for all the things you feel so called to do. No Matter what age you are. Life gets better & better the more you embody that true essence of who you are. I truly believe that is what will continue to attract all the things that are meant to be in your life.”
