Olivia Dunne Teases This Influencer as LSU Gymnastic Team’s Latest Recruit
As both a social media influencer and Division I athlete, Olivia Dunne knows how to catch the internet’s collective attention. She did just that in her latest TikTok, which featured fellow 20-year-old influencer Katie Sigmond.
In the Feb. 27 clip, Dunne joked that she was attempting to recruit Sigmond to join the LSU gymnastics team. At the start of the video, the gymnast stood on screen in a black tank top and rolled-up white athletic shorts with her hands on her hips.
“She say she wish there was two of me,” Dunne mouthed along to the track “Sticky Rice” by Lil Gnar, as she motioned off camera for someone to join her.
Sigmond entered the frame wearing a white crop top and jeans, and the two playfully grabbed each other’s hands before hoisting them in the air above their blonde heads. The duo finished out the video with a cute dance together.
“our newest recruit;) #foryou #lsu #gymnastics,” Dunne captioned the post that she shared with her 7.2 million followers on the platform.
The post quickly went viral, racking up more than three million views and over 500,000 likes in less than 24 hours.
“A baddie with her baddie friend,” a fan commented.
“The dynamic duo at its finest 😳,” someone else added.
“The duo I never would have thought of," another person wrote.
Sigmond regularly shares social media content out on the golf course, as well as swimwear and workout pics.
This isn’t the first time Dunne has suggested recruiting a friend to join the LSU Tigers, either. Earlier this month, she joked about convincing 2020 Olympic all-around champion and Auburn gymnast Suni Lee to join the team.
