Kendall Jenner was without a doubt one of the top contenders for best dressed at this year’s Met Gala.

Her red carpet attire—a Marc Jacobs black sequined bodysuit featuring a silver bejeweled collar and floor-length sleeves paired with sky-high combat platform boots that made her 6' 7 "—served unique, bold, cheeky and appropriate for the biggest night in fashion.

The reality TV star’s after-party look, however, was the epitome of Jenner’s style—daring, sexy and trendsetting. She donned a strapless figure-hugging silver romper with beaded pearl straps and a square neckline. She added a thong over the top and a sleeveless high-neck shrug, both made from a simple solid black material.

The outfit, designed by Nensi Dojaka, was inspired by a Karl Lagerfeld original from Chanel’s 1994 spring-summer collection that supermodel Nadja Auermann debuted on the runway. The 27-year-old attended the after-party with her new beau, Bad Bunny.

Stylist Dani Michelle accessorized Jenner's ensemble with a sparkly Chanel clutch from Janet Mandell, dainty black heels from Gianvito Rossi and diamond earrings by Gismondi 1754.

Her hair was slicked back into a half-pony by Jen Atkins and makeup artist Mary Phillips opted for Jenner’s signature glowy glam, including a thin eyeliner wing, a dash of blush and glossy rosy lips.

“after hours met 1994 chanel @kendalljenner,” Michelle captioned her post of the look.

“a work of art,” one fan commented.

“JUST SO AMAZING,” chirped designer Harris Reed.
