After being introduced as a 2023 SI Swimsuit model on Monday, Padma Lakshmi received an outpouring of support from fans and celebrity friends alike.

While the official SI Swimsuit Instagram account shared a duo of gorgeous images of Lakshmi wearing a golden Toxic Sadie swimsuit to accompany the news, the Swim Team shared a few behind-the-scenes snapshots from Dominica the next day.

In the first close-up Instagram photo, Lakshmi modeled an intricate bikini top made of seashells by Heidi Fish. Her long dark locks cascaded over her shoulders as she smoldered for the camera. The 52-year-old posed atop a rock in the second snap, clad in a leaf-inspired bikini as photographer Yu Tsai captured Lakshmi at sunset.

The brand’s followers continued to show support for Lakshmi—and eager anticipation for more content—in the comments section.

“Legend,” Mara Martin gushed.

“This is so unbelievable and inspiring !!!” another person added.

“Release an outtake video!!!” someone else begged.

“These have me so HYPED!!” another follower added of the teaser photos. “She is everything 🔥.”

"👏👏👏,” 2023 Swim Search finalist Sharina Gutierrez applauded with emojis.

“I’m obsessed with this look😍,” yet another fan stated.
