Sailor Brinkley-Cook Celebrates Her Times Square Billboard Appearance With Adorable Video
Sailor Brinkley-Cook is following in her mother’s footsteps and recreating Christie Brinkley’s iconic “Got Milk” ad. The 24-year-old shared an adorable video on Instagram of herself reacting to the commercial that aired on a billboard in Times Square. What an exciting moment!
“Omg @silk,” Brinkley-Cook captioned the carousel post on Feb. 23. She stood under the ad in the first video and pointed at it, smiled, clapped her hands and said “that’s crazy.”
“OMG!! I LOVE all this so much‼️👏🏼 😍A GORGEOUS billboard in Times Square promoting plant-based deliciousness,” her proud mom chimed in the comments. “Bravo!!!!!!”
“WOWZA‼️ 🌟🌟🌟🌟,” piped in her sister, Alexa Ray Joel.
“Let’s goooo,” Valentin Chmerkovskiy said. “So proud of you Sail!!!!!”
“😍😍😍😍 can we love a post more,” gushed the official Silk account. “Absolutely not. 💯🔥.”
“GENIUS campaign,” chirped Zachary Weiss.
“So sick 🔥,” wrote Genie Bouchard.
Ella Travolta and Brooklyn Beckham were also featured in the ad campaign, as were their respective parents, Kelly Preston and David Beckham, in a similar commercial in the 90s.
The plant-based beverage company’s new campaign features the slogan “Got Silk?” as a play on words to the original “Got Milk” phrase.
“I think those ads are so iconic, and bringing that into this new world of being plant-based and having these amazing alternatives is so fun. I think my mom is also so iconic, so anything that I can do in my life to make her proud is exciting to me,” Brinkley-Cook, who has been dairy-free since she was 13, told People. “My mom raised me vegetarian. Pretty much 95% of my diet is vegan and has been my entire life. It’s what makes my body feel the best. The more that I’ve looked into living a plant-based lifestyle, the more I realize that it not only benefits myself, but it benefits the world.”
