Serena Williams Teases Her Return to Tennis Court With Comedic Video

Serena Williams knows just how to get her fans riled up while also sprinkling some comedic gold into her Instagram grid. The four-time Olympic gold medalist shared a hilarious three-second replaying video with her 16.5 million IG followers on Thursday. She donned cropped black Nike leggings and a long sleeve, also from the brand for which she has been a longtime ambassador and collaborator.
“Out hitting this morning 🌞🎾,” the 23-time Grand Slam singles champ captioned the clip, in which she walked onto the tennis court and geared up to hit a ball that quickly turned into a miniature sticker of her in that exact moment. The unexpected video is a never-ending loop—Williams hits the tennis ball that turns into Williams hitting the tennis ball that turns into … and on and on.
“@venuswilliams what you think of my new hitting partner ??,” the Adventures of Qai Qai author followed up in a comment under the post.
“Your biggest competition is your own potential 💪🔥,” the official account for tennis clothing brand EleVen by Venus, chimed with an inspirational message.
“Serena just announce the Wimbledon/USO comeback already,” one fan begged. “We’ll be in the stands cheering you on.”

The 41-year-old announced last August that she would be ”evolving away” from tennis to focus on being a mother to her 5-year-old daughter, Olympia, whom she shares with husband Alexis Ohanian.
