Simone Biles Glams Up on Game Day for Pro Football Husband, Jonathan Owens

Despite the haters, the couple, who wed in 2023, are each other’s biggest fans

Simone Biles doesn’t do anything less than perfect. Modeling the work of makeup artist Alayza Casey in a recent Instagram post, Biles rocked a flirty set of lashes, contoured pink cheeks, and a shiny, glistening pucker. “Love a good gameday glam,” she commented.

She is, of course, referring to her professional football husband, Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens. Because the Packers were playing the Dallas Cowboys at home, it appears Biles sought out local talent. Casey, according to her profile, is Dallas-based and specializes in celebrity and wedding day makeup.

Biles has been showing public support for Owens in the wake of a podcast interview that went viral when he claimed he initially didn’t know who Biles was when they matched on a dating app. “The first thing that I saw was that she just had a bunch of [Instagram] followers,” said Owens. “So in my mind, I’m like, ‘O.K., she’s gotta be good.’”

The internet backlash was swift and heated. “I know this dude is not serious,” one commenter posted. “Simone Biles: Arguably greatest gymnast ever, 4X Olympic Gold medalist, Part of phenomenal team of Olympians, cover of Vogue, on a Wheaties box.” Another wrote, “There’s no way on God’s green Earth that he did not know who Simone Biles was. If you have a phone, you know who Simone Biles is.”

A few days later, Biles stepped in to put a stop to it, posting on X: “Are y’all done yet?”

Biles hasn’t announced whether she plans to compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, but in the meantime, she’s happy to cheer on her hubby from the stands, wearing a custom “Mrs. Owens” jacket and looking a like a 10.
