Simone Biles’s Husband, Jonathan Owens, Finally Returns Home to Texas Following Packers Loss
If there is one silver lining for Simone Biles and Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens following the team’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, it’s that the pro football player is back at home in Texas.
The couple, who tied the knot in a courthouse ceremony last April and then commemorated their marriage with a beautiful ceremony in Mexico the following month, have been spending much of their marriage apart. Owens officially started his season with the Packers in September, bringing him to Wisconsin for the duration of it.
Meanwhile, Biles remained at their home in Texas for much of the fall and winter, where she trains as a professional gymnast. (She, of course, headed to Green Bay to cheer on her husband at several games).
But with the playoff loss that brought the end of his season, Owens finally returned to their shared home in Texas. Biles shared a short video on her Instagram story commemorating his return. “Look [who’s] home 😍😭🤍🤞🏾,” she wrote on the video, clearly overjoyed that he’s back.
The post followed a very sweet video that the Olympian shared congratulating her husband on a hard-fought season and playoff run. “it’s been a helluva season & there’s so much to be proud of,” she wrote in the caption. “I’m so proud of the work you’ve put in & the confidence you exude throughout your plays. I love you Jonathan! another football season happy & healthy in the books.”
