Surfer Anastasia Ashley Proves Her Athletic Skill Extends Beyond the Waves in This Footage From the Slopes

As it turns out, she can carve on the water and in the snow.

It comes as no surprise to us that professional surfer Anastasia Ashley has some impressive snowboarding skills. She has spent years honing her craft, taking to the waves with her surfboard and flexing her athletic ability. And, though we don’t know how to surf or snowboard nearly as well as the 36-year-old, we have to imagine that her hours of work on the waves have translated to her talent on the slopes.

Ashley recently hit the snow in Jackson, Wyo., where she took a little trip to the popular skiing destination for a peak-season snowboarding trip. While there, she filmed some footage on the snow that is a testament to her athletic prowess. Not only can Ashley carve on the waves, but she has the same impressive ability with a snowboard strapped to her feet.

She headed out in a pair of white pants and a salmon pink jacket and flexed her abilities in a video that she shared to her Instagram.

“My first time to @jacksonhole was epic!” Ashley wrote in the caption of the reel. “Was a dream to spend the week here! Some things I loved were the early tram for first lines down with gorgeous conditions, no crowds, no lift lines. Even though I’ve snowboarded my whole life, doing a private lesson from mountain sports school was game changing!”

By her own admission, taking a lesson to improve her snowboarding skills made her feel that much more confident. From where we’re sitting, we can say with confidence that it certainly paid off.
