If it seems like the pop world has erupted overnight, it’s because it has. Just slightly after midnight (12:12 a.m. to be exact), Taylor Swift disclosed in a teaser clip for boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce’s podcast New Heights that her 12th studio album is on its way.

In the 20-second clip—which has garnered over 4.3 million Instagram likes in just 10 hours on the app—Swift revealed a pastel green briefcase to the hosts, adorned with her initials on the front. “This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl,” Swift told the camera, pulling out a blurred vinyl copy of the album. Both brothers cheered in excitement, with Travis exclaiming, “T.S. 12!”

But that seems to be all the info we’re getting on Swift’s newest body work—at least for now. The 14-time Grammy Award winner dropped The Tortured Poet’s Department back in April 2024 amid The Eras Tour, which began in March 2023 in Arizona and wrapped in Vancouver, Canada, in December 2024.

In May of this year, Swift credited the success of the international tour as a catalyst for achieving her “greatest dream come true,” owning her entire catalog of music. “All of the music I’ve ever made...now belongs...to me,” the artist penned in an intimate letter. “The passionate support you showed those albums and the success story you turned The Eras Tour into is why I was able to buy back my music.”

While comments on her newest announcement—a collaborative Instagram post between the podcast and Swift’s main account—have been disabled, fans have expressed their excitement for the artist’s upcoming project in a separate teaser for the podcast on Monday.

“Loading...the most listened to podcast of all time...” one user wrote.

“The fact that Taylor is sharing her new music in Travis’s podcast is iconic on so many levels [...]” another commenter exclaimed, adding, “This is what we call a power couple move.💥 🎶🏈”

As of today, fans who are eager for the album’s release day—which is still unknown—can still purchase a “Pre Pre-Order” of The Life of a Showgirl. The trio package includes a cassette ($19.99), vinyl ($29.99) and CD ($12.99), and comes with a poster included. The site also notes that the items will ship out before Oct. 13, but this does not indicate the album’s release day, stating its “official date [is] to be announced.”

Will New Heights be the first to break the news on that, as well? Find out when Swift joins the Kelce brothers for Wednesday’s episode at 7 p.m. ET!
