What Sets the Hawai'i Swim Show Apart?

Hawai‘i Swim Show is more than just a fashion show. Founded by Hilo-raised wahine, Kali‘a Wasson and Taylor Matas, this event was authentically molded by the love for Hawai‘i and itʻs people. Curated to bring global visibility and representation to the talent, culture and overall beauty of Hawai’i.

Co-founder Kali'a Wasson shared “Hawai‘i Swim Show serves as a way to bring together community, provide opportunities, and share the unique spirit of Aloha we proudly carry to the rest of the world. This event will break barriers not only in the industry of fashion but throughout the world. This is an event you wonʻt want to miss.”

When did the Hawai'i Swim Show Start?

The first Hawai’i Swim Show took place just last year and was a huge success. With thousands in attendance (both in person and virtually), the showcase made history in the world of local Hawaiian swimwear and fashion. There was incredible representation on the runway with models of all ages, body types, ethnicities and backgrounds, furthering the mission of making the Hawai’i Swim Show’s a place where all are not only welcomed, but celebrated.

Will the Hawai’i Swim Show Take Place Following the Wildfires Fires in Maui?

After taking the wildfires that occurred in Maui earlier this month into great consideration, the organization has decided to proceed with the show, in hopes of using the event and its platform to help those affected by the catastrophic wildfires that took place in Hawai’i. A portion of the Hawai’i Swim Show proceeds will go directly toward those impacted, as well as reputable local charities working to support the Maui community.
