Lizzo may be a four-time Grammy Award winner, but the “Special” singer is always taking the time to uplift others—particularly young people. Earlier this month, she demonstrated just how much she appreciates her adoring fans with a sweet gesture at her show in Hartford when she pulled a young girl up on stage with her.

The 35-year-old shared a duo of photos on Instagram on June 21 of the special moment alongside a powerful message. In the first pic, she knelt down to the child’s level and held her hands, while the two embraced in the second image.

“Everything I do is for HER,” Lizzo wrote. “So that she grows up knowing how to love herself radically💖.”

“Lizzo you took my daughter out of the crowd at your Palm desert show and gave her a birthday hug and I just wanted to say thank you,” one of the artist’s 13.5 million IG followers wrote in the comments section. “You’ve helped both of us learn to love ourselves and accept ourselves again. 🖤.”

“I was there for this….it was so beautiful I cried!” someone else applauded. “Such an amazing show!!! I would come see you again and again!!!”

“*cut to this baby girl’s grammy speech in 15 years*,” another fan added. “‘i’d like to thank mama lizzo for hugging me on stage and inspiring me to be everything i ever wanted to be.’”
