There’s been a lot of talk surrounding the start of Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s very new relationship. The rumors turned to truth when Travis Kelce’s brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, confirmed during a WIP Morning Show interview on Sept. 20 that the rumors about his brother and Swift were “100% true.”

Afterwards, things seemed to pick up a bit between the pair. Swift has now attended a couple of Kelce’s NFL games alongside his mom, Donna Kelce, and a star-studded friend group, including Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

And while the pair seem to be enjoying spending time together, how the relationship itself started remains unclear. With that in mind, Fox Sports anchor Charissa Thompson took to Instagram on Oct. 2 to prove that it was her and Erin Andrews’s Aug. 3 podcast episode which provided the push Swift needed to give Kelce a chance.

On the early August episode of Calm Down With Erin and Charissa, Andrews begged the pop star to go on a date with the football player. “Taylor, I don’t know what you are doing in your life right now besides rocking the world, [but] please try our friend Travis,” she said. “He is fantastic.”

“Do it for yourself, do it for us and do it for the people,” Thompson added. “There is no one who would give you a better time than this guy.”

“😂😂 You two are something else!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I owe you big time!!” Kelce commented on the post, giving the pair some credit for their matchmaking efforts.

It’s unclear how much of the budding relationship is due to Andrews and Thompson’s podcast episode, but perhaps the couple will clear up all the rumors surrounding their start before too long. Whatever their reason for getting together, one thing is certain: We’re rooting for them.
